Hey Hey! I found a tradie.. this is the first tradie I have seen at our house :) He sure has made himself at home.. literally.. He slept at our house two nights ago as he lives on the Gold Coast..
Our front door is now installed and looks gorgeous!! It still needs to be stained (clear)
Our tiler has started and everything is looking terrific... very straight!

YES SHA, WE HAVE WATCHED THE PROGRESS FROM DAY ONE EACH TIME WE PASS ON OUR WAY TO LOWOOD. WE LIVE IN WATTLE ROAD WHICH IS UP HIGH IN THE BUSHLAND. ONLY LAST WEEK I SAID SOME THOUGHT HAD GONE INTO YOUR HOME THAT THE OTHER PLACE NEXT DOOR TO YOU HAD MADE A MISTAKE WITH. THEY HAVE WINDOWS ALONG THE WESTERN SIDE. YOU DONT. BELIEVE ME IN A REAL COOMINYA SUMMER YOU DONT NEED WESTERN FACING WINDOWS. HOW OLD ARE YOUR CHILDREN. IF YOU NEED ANY INFORMATION JUST EMAIL. BE HAPPY COL.

As for the windows, thankyou! We did put a lot of thought into them (or not having them). We added in extra insulation into the bedroom along that wall also.
Our Alfresco area is not as 'smart' as next doors, as theirs is surrounded by walls (basically a part of their house), but ours is like an addition and hangs off the back area.. We will will have problems with sun etc but we will fix that with trees or screens or something :)
They certainly are two very different houses!

HI AGAIN, I SENT YOU MY MAIN ADDRESS AS I DONT OFTEN GO TO THE WEB MAILS. WE CAME UP FROM THE REDLANDS, CAPALABA ACTUALLY. WE SPENT MOST OF OUR LIVES IN THE WYNNUM/MANLY AREA. ONE THING THAT IS ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING IN THIS AREA IS TERMITES. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR HOME TREATED EVERY YEAR. YOU ALSO HAVE ONE OF THE MORE AGGRESSIVE TERMITE NESTS IN A TREE TO THE RIGHT I THINK NEAR THE FRONT OF YOUR LAND. WILL CHECK IN THE MORNING. TO KEEP YOUR HOME COOL HAVE EVERY WINDOW IN YOUR HOME TINTED. I HAD OURS DONE YEARS AGO AND WE ALMOST NEVER NEED THE AIR CON. WAY TO GO COL
