Painting our loungeroom..

Hello Everyone, sorry its been so long in between posts.. time gets away from me so easy these days.. Working full time and now studying to get me into a full time Bachelor of Nursing course next year... Not a lot has been happening in the house for the same reasons above, but we are currently in the middle of painting the loungeroom a dark coffee colour. We have been trying to decide whether to paint the whole room or just one feature wall.. but with the other ideas we have for this room, i think painting all of it sounds like the way to go. _ ignore the furniture as its all out of place right now.. and I plan on replacing it with all new stuff.. one day soon I hope!

My beautiful Niece

Today is the birthday of my Niece .. Cassie Maree born at 9.15am today, weighing a whopping 10 lbs 8 oz! Congratulations to Allan, Jodie and family on such a beautiful little girl xxx

IMPORTANT DATES

02/04/09 - oven and rangehood, lights, power points, door handles, gas connection, telstra connection and air conditioner power switch all installed within the past two days. painting compete.
31/03/09 - shower screens, wardrobe doors, shelving, and some of the taps installed. Oven arrives but not yet installed. Painting still not complete. Interior doors hung.
27/03/09 - Ceasarstone installed in past week. Garage door installed today. Painting almost complete.
17/03/09 - tiling complete a few days ago ( cant remember exact date now). Painting started. Ceiling complete. First coat is on walls -not cut in yet.
05/03/09 - Skirting, architraves door jams and internal doors installed. Front door installed. Tiling started.
27/02/09 - Kitchen, bathrooms and laundry cabinets installed. Gable inserts installed.
26/02/09 - Waterproofing done to all wet areas. Doors, architraves and skirting arrive on site, including front door.
24/02/09 - Soffit finished (all but a small section above the garage), blueboard above windows finished. Temporary front door installed. 'Enclosed stage' complete (except small section of blueboard near garage, and issues with roof)
18/02/09 - Plastering complete. Cornice installed, Energex hooks up electricity to house. Solar panels for hot water are on roof.
16/02/09 - Bricking completed! plastering continues
12/02/09 - Walls plastered, downpipes installed, more bricking done
09/02/09 - Plasterboards installed to ceiling, Energex installed power to our pole
05/02/09 - Plumbing installed inside and out.
04/02/09 - Bricks started, roof complete (but sarking still to be fixed)
02/02/09 - wiring installed, house wrapped
30/01/09 - Bricks delivered
29/01/09 - Roof started, windows and doors installed
27/01/09 - Framing stage complete. Windows delivered
20/01/09 - We have been Framed!
16/01/09 - We have a slab! Wall frames delivered
15/01/09 - Slab prepared, roof trusses delivered
13/01/09 - Plumbing pipes installed
08/01/09 - Site scrape completed
17/12/08 - driveway installed (crushed sandstone)
05/01/09 - our second attempt at starting site scrape
12/12/08 - our power pole installed
09/12/08 - poly water tank Installed
05/12/08 - Our first day of Construction!!! woohooo!!!!!!! *edit* - not much happened cause the excavator got stuck in the mud. Its been raining heaps and very muddy onsite.
29/11/08 - Balance of second deposit paid today. Everything is now in place. Just need to hand our file to our SS who's name we now know .."M" will do for here..and he will now book in site excavations.
14/11/08 - Today we received our council approvals in the mail. (was actually approved yesterday according to the paperwork and council website). Also received a copy of the BSA insurance and more documents to sign for the bank.
11/11/08 - Received the registration certificate in the mail to say the land was now in both our names
16/10/08 - Finally we have full approval from the bank yayyyyyy!! Now all we need is council approval and we are good to go..
22/09/08 - Signed contracts!! over a glass of red and a beer for Tim
19/09/08 - Received Contracts x 3 in the mail, changed colours in kitchen and ensuite
15/09/08 - Footing Design came back to the builder today. Should have contract this week
05/09/08 - Conditional Approval granted from bank :). Final colour selections completed.
04/09/08 - Second deposit paid
15/08/08 - Soil test came back - Highly reactive soil (H)!!.. and a P (problem) site due to trees.
08/08/08 - Soil tests etc done (and my Dad's 60th Birthday!!)
26/07/08 - Signed Preliminary Assessment and paid initial deposit
